YN Party Profile: Singleton, Australia

Singleton, Australia, February 09, 2008 –(PR.com)– With just over two months left until Yuri’s Night 2008, the single party to register so far in the Land Down Under is… in Singleton, Australia.

A medium-sized town in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, Singleton has an economy focused on coal mining, power generation, and agriculture. But Yuri’s Night Singleton, the first party to register in a country with some fantastic events in 2007, is looking to the stars. The event will be held at the brand-new Youth Venue, which is run by Singleton Youth Programs, part of Singleton Council. The Youth Venue features state-of-the-art lighting and PA systems, as well as a large video projection screen, making it a great location for Yuri’s Night festivities.

Yuri’s Night Singleton is going all-out in celebrating the anniversary of the first manned space launch. The party will be fully space-themed and party-goers are asked to come in costume. There will be prizes for the best costumes, as well as a space fashion parade. This event isn’t all about the decorations, though: if music is more to your interest, make sure to come for the video disco and karaoke. Several young bands will also be playing throughout the evening.

Exact times for this event have not yet been decided, but will be made available on www.yurisnight.net when they are. For more information on Yuri’s Night Singleton, contact Mark Reedman at [email protected].

Yuri’s Night is a program of the Space Generation Advisory Council, an organization dedicated to engaging and developing the next generation of space leaders.
