Tim Bailey

Tim Bailey is the Executive Director and on the Board of The SpaceKind Foundation, best known for their annual Yuri’s Night celebrations around the globe. The nonprofit also awards the annual Cosmic Odyssey Scholarship, hosts SpaceKind Training for leadership development, and serves as the fiscal sponsor of numerous other projects including AstroAccess and the ZG4STEM Foundation.
 
Professionally, Tim is the Inflight Manager for the parabolic flight company Zero-G. He is responsible for the training and management of the Flight Attendants and other Cabin Crewmembers. Tim also serves as Executive Director of the ZG4STEM Foundation, a nonprofit effort to encourage students to enter STEM careers. Tim has been with Zero-G in various roles since 2003. In that time he has accumulated nearly 9,000 parabolas over 400 flights.
 
Outside of his Zero-G work, Tim has put together space conferences around the globe and covered space shuttle launches from Kennedy Space Center. He also sits on the Board of ATHENA Rapid Response Innovation Lab in Alexandria, VA. Prior to his current role, he was an independent program management consultant with clients including NASA, DARPA, the Marine Corps, and the US Department of Energy.
 
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is married to a brilliant aerospace engineer. They live near Washington D.C. with their two adventurous kids (9 and 13).
