Description
This piece of photographic art is one of the incredible images of Earth captured during the Inspiration4 mission — the first, all-civilian mission to orbit. The mission launched from Pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, on September 15, 2021, and orbited the earth for three days. The SpaceX Dragon named Resilience carried a crew of four, and served as a philanthropic mission raising over $240 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Signed by Mission Specialist Chris “Hanks” Sembroski, this photo captures the beauty of our planet as seen through the cupola while traveling 25,000 km/hr from nearly 600 km in altitude.
