JASON ACHILLES divides his time as an internationally touring multi-instrumentalist, music producer, public speaker, orchestral composer, and “side gig” as an aerospace conceptualist, architect and entrepreneur.
In 2017 Jason worked with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory helping capture the first sounds of the planet Mars recorded by the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover. In 2021 he served as Principal Investigator for a 2020 NASA Flight Opportunities grant to successfully flight test novel remote rocket-viewing camera tech with Honeybee Robotics and Masten Space Systems in Mojave, CA.
When not on the road performing his experimental ‘Cosmic Space-Rock’, he can be frequently spotted with friends attempting to capture high-fidelity audio from numerous rocket launches at Vandenberg Space Force Base… preferably *without* having microphones incinerated.
