Perpetual Guarding Planetarium, Otago Museum
419 Great King St, North Dunedin
Join us in the Perpetual Guardian Planetarium to celebrate Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to venture into space on April 12 1961, and the inaugural launch of the first Space Shuttle on April 12 1981.
Yuri’s Night is held around the world to celebrate humanity’s past, present, and future in space. What better place to experience this than in the state of the art Perpetual Guardian Planetarium, with a Science Communicator taking you on a journey through our solar system and the history of space exploration. From humanities first satellites, to space probes venturing to the outer reaches of the solar system, you will be amazed at what has been achieved and what is still to be explored.
7pm – 8pm, Thursday 12 April
Adults $15, Children $10
