Yuri’s Night 2019 in Cologne is once again taking place in the Odysseum, this time with two exciting events on two days: an evening event with astronauts on Friday, April 12th, 2019 and a hands-on day with various activities for the whole family on Saturday, April 13th, 2019. Together with DLR, ESA and many other partners we bring space exploration into the adventure museum in Cologne!

Friday, April 12th, 2019: A Space Station Discussion!

  • A discussion of space stations with Reinhold Ewald (ESA Astronaut and Professor for Astronautics and Space Stations) and Volker Schmid (DLR Head of Human Spaceflight and Gerst’s Mission Manager) and others.
  • The podium discussion is free of charge. Due to limited space, registration is recommended. Just send an email to or register on our website! Reserve your seat today!
    Saturday, April 13th, 2019: An Adventure-Filled Day for the Whole Family!

    • 12 PM: Opening of the Space Event Area in the Odysseum
    • 12-6 PM: Space activities and experiments for the whole family in the Odysseum. All additional activities are included in the entry fee for the Odysseum! Look forward to:
    • Float through the ISS on a 3D Tour
    • Control a robot on Mars
    • Experience space research and weightlessness at the miniature drop tower
    • Test different planets’ gravities
    • Investigate how astronauts’ muscles change in space
    • Admire the Earth with live images from the ISS by Columbus Eye/Kepler-ISS
    • Complete our space game to win great prizes
    • 1:30 / 2:30 / 3:30 PM: Talks and Introductions All About Space
