Tim Bailey serves on the Board of Directors for The SpaceKind Foundation. He joined the Yuri’s Night Global Executive Team in 2004, helped the organization gain independent non-profit status in 2010, and became the fourth and current Executive Director in December 2016. Tim is husband to a brilliant engineer, father of two adventurous kids, and proficient at zero gravity flips in multiple axes.
Tim previously organized the National Space Society’s annual International Space Development Conference (ISDC) in 2009 and the Space Generation Advisory Council’s Space Generation Congress in Valencia, Spain in 2006. He was also the lead organizer for the Yuri’s Night@IAC 2019 party in Washington, DC, during the International Astronomical Congress.
Tim works in special projects involving media, events, education, outreach, R&D, and microgravity environments. You may know him as the Supervisor of Inflight for Zero Gravity Corporation, through his work empowering communities with ATHENA Rapid Response Innovation Lab, promoting the Department of Energy’s renewable energy prize challenges with Nation of Makers, or from his time supporting high-tech innovation at DARPA.
